In the first half of this church year, Rev Dave will be leading a monthly class and workshop series on the “5 Questions” of religious life.
Based on a popular Unitarian Universalist curriculum, the class provides an opportunity for in-depth theological exploration and intentional formation of personal beliefs:
- What does it mean to be human?
- How do I know what I know?
- Who or what is in charge?
- What is my purpose in life?
- What is the meaning of death?
Part of what makes it come alive is the group gathered to do this work with each other in conversation and care – we get to know one another on deep topics throughout the months. Because of this, the class relies on commitment and full participation to be successful.
Participants should plan to attend all sessions (you may miss up to one) and prepare reflective materials between sessions.
The class will meet 6 times in Chris Moore Parlor on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm sharp to 7:45 pm on the following dates:
- August 13
- September 10
- October 8
- November 12
- December 10
- January 14
The number of slots in the class will be limited. To register for the class, email Rev. Dave at dhmessner@gmail.com or CLICK HERE to register today!
