Chicago March for Science
04/22/2017 Saturday All Day
On Earth Day, Marches for Science nationwide will call for the continued use of scientific results in making government policy. Please join the First U group marching to show support for an independent, federally-funded scientific community and an active role for evidence and rational inquiry in civic life. RSVP: Adriana Rizzo, firstname.lastname@example.org, or Richard Pardo, email@example.com. We plan to meet as a group under the First Unitarian banner at the corner of Michigan and Harrison and then march over to the rally location at Jackson and Congress. After the rally, we will then march down Congress to the Museum Campus. Following the march the organizers are planning a ‘science expo’ to allow the public to meet scientists and understand better what they are doing. You can find more information about the March for Science at March for Science Chicago.
Note: Join us for a sign-making party for the march in the RE resource room at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20.
