I like to envision the angels hovering above and deflecting calamity but dwelling all around, doing the work of bringing beauty forward. I have come to see so many of the people in my life the same way, and I am grateful for them.

Singing is a tradition as old as humanity itself. It is a fundamental part of our identities, whether that identity is “I’m a soprano,” “I sing country music,” or “I don’t sing.” What do we stand to lose when we don’t feed this fundamental part of our humanity?
