Thinking of visiting First U? Welcome! Here is a short guide of what to expect your first Sunday:

Services begin at 10:00 am, but consider coming about 15 minutes early to meet our Director of Lifespan Religious Education Elizabeth McCreless Cresslan and tour the classrooms your children will be attending. Our nursery opens at 9:00 am so you also will have the chance to see this space and get your young children settled if you wish to use nursery care.

Children and youth attend the first part of the services with their families where we sing a hymn or two, light our chalice and hear a children’s message. Children and youth then depart to their classes which run during the rest of the service. High school aged youth meet after our regular services.

You are welcome to attend your children’s classes so they feel comfortable in our rooms while they get to know their peers and adult leaders, or you can stay in the service and enjoy our engaging sermons.

Classes end after services at 11:15 am, younger children are picked up by their parents while older children are released to social hour.
