Water Communion

Water Communion

Multi-Generational Service September 8 at 10 am, in the Sanctuary and on Zoom.

The Water Communion was first used at a Unitarian Universalist (UU) worship service in the 1980s. Members bring to the service a small amount of water which may be from a from a place that is special to them, or it may be symbolic of that place. During the appointed time, people one by one pour their water together into a large bowl. Each person briefly tells why this water is special. The combined water is symbolic of our shared faith coming from many different sources.
